🔹 What is a megamix?
It's a single, mastered mix composed of fragments (usually one verse or chorus) from several tracks by a single artist or project. Unlike a typical DJ set, the focus here isn't on mixing different tracks, but on showcasing the coherence of a single artist's musical world.
🔹 About the mix
20 tracks → 23 minutes → BPM 125–130 (a typical range for modern disco/funk: energetic enough for dancing, but not aggressively accelerated).
All transitions are beat-based, without abrupt changes, preserving the groove of the originals.

🔹 Why disco/funk again?
Disco and funk return to dance floors roughly every two decades: the mid-70s, the early 2000s, and now, in the mid-2020s. This isn't nostalgia, but a reimagining: analog synthesizers, funky basslines, a touch of "dirt" in the production—all adapted to modern mixing standards without losing the live feel.
🔹 A small clarification (with respect)
Disco/funk is a niche aesthetic. It doesn't aim for mass appeal, and that's okay. Not everyone loves it, but those who find a liking for it often report a particular sensitivity to groove, dynamics, and musical texture. I regularly remind my listeners: choosing this sound isn't a sign of status, but of taste. And that's a compliment—to myself and to you.
